Founded in 1947, the Hudson League of Service undertakes volunteer work and service projects that benefit the Hudson community. Our members participate in activities including blood drives, coat drives, helping at the food pantry, Caroling on the Green, and Random Acts of Kindness.
Fundraisers including the annual Ice Cream Social in June as part of Hudson Festival Days and Scholastic book fairs in the fall and spring. All funds are returned to the Hudson community by high school scholarships and community grants.
Look for moments of random kindness today and everyday and celebrate that by making Kindness the Norm, Hudson will be a better place for all.
In addition to looking for random acts, plan to participate in a coloring contest by submitting the RAK coloring contest. Entries may be picked up and left at Destination Hudson or posted directly to the #RAKHudson site.
On Sunday, February 19, 2023, The Page Turners are hosting their third annual Share a Book Drive during Random Acts of Kindness Week. The boys will be collecting books on Sunday, February 19th from 11am to 1pm at t
he Farinacci Pizza--Hudson parking lot at 86 Owen Brown Street. They will take gently used books of any kind and ask that larger amounts of books be packed in boxes. Books will be given to a variety of worthy organizations including Literacy in the HOOD in Cleveland, Bright Star Books in Akron, prison libraries, and the Hudson Food Pantry.
