SCHOLARSHIPS:
High school seniors who are Hudson residents are invited to apply for the Hudson League for Service annual scholarship. The $1,000 scholarship is based on the quality and impact of your volunteer activities. The recipient of the scholarship is listed on a plaque hung in the Hudson High School media center. For more information, contact your guidance counselor.

Congratulations to Maddie Seifert, this year’s recipient of the HLFS $1,000 scholarship. Seen here with her family, Maddie plans to attend The Ohio State University in the fall. Her community service efforts include volunteering at Hudson Grande Senior Living and the HUDDLE project. She is also an active participant in service projects with First Congregational Church of Hudson, where she is the only student on the 12-member Mission Board. In addition, she has painted walls of homeless veterans’ shelters, volunteered at a battered women’s shelter, and completed home repair projects through the Appalachian Service Project.
